After a suicide loss, many of us feel broken in ways that are difficult to explain. The world we once knew has been shattered, and we may wonder if we will ever feel whole again. Grief can leave us exhausted, uncertain, and questioning our worth.
Broken Crayons Still Color
Yet this simple quote offers a gentle reminder, even broken crayons still color. Their shape may have changed, but they have not lost their purpose or their ability to create something beautiful.
The same is true for us. The pain we carry may become part of our story, but it does not erase our value. We still have love to give, wisdom to share, kindness to offer, and lives that can touch others in meaningful ways. In fact, some of the qualities that make us most compassionate, understanding, and resilient are often born from the very places where we have been wounded.
Being broken does not mean being finished. It does not mean there is no beauty left inside us. Sometimes the cracks left by loss become the places where empathy grows and where hope quietly returns. We may never be exactly who we were before, but we can still create, still love, still heal, and still bring color into the lives of those around us.
