Like sunflowers turning toward the sunlight, this blog helps survivors of suicide loss find hope, healing, and the path toward life after loss.

Accepting that life has permanently changed and will never return to how it was before suicide loss means acknowledging that “normal” itself has been redefined and building identity as a survivor becomes part of who you are now. The new normal includes living with absence, carrying unanswered questions, managing triggers you didn’t have before, relating differently to others, and recognizing that everything has been colored by loss. Resisting this new reality keeps you stuck trying to resurrect a life that no longer exists, while accepting it (however gradually and painfully) allows you to build a future that incorporates loss without being destroyed by it.
